Attributed to Heals - Heals were commisoned by Oxford University to make and design furniture for specific departments in the mid century. Not all of their designs were stamped.
The table came from the library of The Department of Plant Sciences, which merged in 2022 to become part of the new Department of Biology. The department focuses on plant biology, genetics, and ecology, collaborating closely with the Oxford University Herbaria and the Botanic Garden and Arboretum.
Solid Oak with stunning Oak grain.
The table top sits on the base and can easily be removed by 8 screws for easy access through doors and into rooms.
