Antique Rosewood Aesthetic Movement Side Table by Trapnell & Gane

Beautifully elegant shell marquetry motif and ring-turned spindle legs, the piece dates to the late Victorian or early Edwardian transition period (circa 1895–1905).

History :

The firm was originally founded in Bristol, England by Henry Trapnell in 1824.

During the late 19th century, Philip Endres Gane joined the business, leading to the name change Trapnell & Gane.

In the Victorian era, they were renowned for constructing premium furniture and often held prestigious commissions to furnish reception rooms for visiting British Royalty.
