French Louis Philippe  "Voltaire" armchair, dating to the mid-to-late 19th century. 
Crafted from a rich  Walnut—featuring distinct curved, padded open armrests that terminate in elegant scroll accents. 
The arm rests feature subtle lighter wood inlay or pinstriping detail at the front scrolls. 
The front legs are classically turned and tapered. It has been newly reupholstered in a traditional cream and red ticking stripe fabric (toile à matelas style) finished with a braided cream gimp trim.
